01/07/2008. Mykon Announces a Winner
Mykon are pleased to announce the winner of the Student Competition is Claire Giles from Hull School of Art and Design. Her Mondrian inspired “Display and Exhibition System” design wowed the judges; the design showed innovation and careful thought and was beautifully presented. Claire has won £1000 and will have her entry made by us and displayed at a top London venue in Autumn of this year. Mykon were so impressed with the quality of the designs submitted that it has been decided the second place and joint third entries will also be manufactured and displayed alongside the winning entry. This includes Peter Dawson's Bench, Doro Vernier Desk and James Whitfield's Shelf. All winners will be given the chance to come here during the summer and work with us to see the projects through the design to manufacturing process, this is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved. The guest judges included Michael Rose, Chairman of The Building Centre in London, Jean-Paul Nunes, Head of Educational Projects at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) in London and Shelley Mosco, the Managing Director of Green Graphite, a Landscape Design company with whom we have worked previously, on both our projects (Surface Design Show) and her own (Chelsea Flower Show). Due to the success of the 2008 Student Competition, the 2009 competition is already being planned, with the intention to make it more accessible to a wider range of students around the country. We’re already getting excited about seeing next year’s designs!

20/03/2008. Mykon Shortlisted
Mykon were shortlisted for Best Use of Space at Show at this years Surface Design Show but were pipped to the post by Muraspec. Mykon were pleased to be shortlisted but will attend next years show with the hope of winning!
10/03/2008. Mykon Triumph at Surface Design Show 08
Mykon exhibited at this years Surface Design Show with great success. This years stand was Mykon’s best so far and received many compliments from visitors and other exhibitors. Mykon were extremely please with the amount of interest the products received, especially the new Chillida Range and the Coloured Aluminium Ceiling Tiles. Mykon would like to thank Inca for printing on the panel and Shelley Mosco of Green Graphite Design for all their help with this years stand and we look forward to exhibiting next year.

Mykon has added new additions to the furniture range. The exciting collection of furniture combines classic design with modern materials. Mykon's newest product offering is the Chillida Range. The Chillida Range consists of sheets of high quality steel, chemically aged to produce one of a kind steel sheets that can be used for cladding, flooring and panelling. Contact us to find out more.

17/01/2008. Mykon Launches Student Competition
Mykon launched a student competition on December 1st 2007. The aim of the competition is for one creative design student to design an original product made out of Mykon materials. The winning student will receive £1000 and have their product displayed at a prominent London location. 08/01/2008. The Surface Design Show 08
Mykon will once again be exhibiting at the Surface Design Show. We will introduce our new products, including the Chilida Range and Coloured Aluminium Ceiling Tiles. 15/11/2007. Mykon to be featured on Trade Secrets
Trade Secrets, the spin off show from Grand Designs, has recently filmed the Mykon B- Clear Bridge at London based architects Squire & Partners. The show will be broadcast on More 4 at the beginning of 2008, so keep your eyes peeled.
11/10/2007. Mykon get Arty
Mykon have sponsored the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park, London. The fair takes place between the 18th-21st October 2007.Mykon will have four pink B-Clear panels on display. Please come along, further details can be found on www.affordableartfair.co.uk
24/09/2007. Mykon Product Launch
Mykon have officially launched our latest product, Coloured Aluminum Ceiling Tiles. The launch was held at the Building Centre in London on Wednesday 19th September, where members of the Mykon Team met with many architects, designers and specifiers to discuss the latest addition to the Mykon product range. 30/05/2007. Chelsea Flower Show
Through blistering heat and thunderous rain the Mykon team kept smiling. Mykon and Michael Speller, the renowned sculptor, took Chelsea Flower Show by storm recently. Chelsea Flower Show was held on 22-26th May 2007.
Mykon provided the backdrop, created from Crystal Glaze and Press Load panels. The Crystal Glaze provided a fantastic way of creating a barrier to the neighbouring stand, without blocking off light. As you can see from the supplied image, the greenery coming through the panel was visually extremely effective.
12/03/2007. Success at The Surface Design Show
The stand this year was been designed in partnership with award winning landscape architect Shelley Mosco of Green Graphite Ltd. The collaboration came about as Mykon has begun to explore the external uses for their panels, partitions and flooring and this was highlighted by the showcasing of a specially designed water wall. The Mykon stand had a layout which encouraged the visitors to explore the versatility of Mykon’s products and alongside the water feature, Mykon will also showcase a new translucent material, Iris, which will become part of the Mykon colour series range.

01/03/2006. The Surface Design Show in London 2006
Mykon attended the Surface Design Show in London from 28th February to 2nd March. This was Mykon’s first time exhibiting at the Surface Design Show, we were extremely pleased with the amount of positive interest that was received. Both our Hi-Lite and B-Clear floor tiles generated a great deal of interest from visitors to the stand. For further details on these products please contact us.
01/02/2006. 100% Design 2006 – Stand B78
After such a successful exhibition in 2005, Mykon will be returning to 100% Design this year, which is again being held at Earls Court 2, London between 22-25th September 2006. In addition to exhibiting their wide range of flooring, doors, partitions and screens they will also be introducing a range of acoustic panels to their offering. 01/01/2005. 100% Design 2005
Mykon effectively launched it's range of architectural products in September at the 100% Design exhibition in London. Among the different products on display was the Hi-Lite range of flooring, doors, partitions and screens. Hi-Lite screens are aluminium conic sheets sandwiched between polycarbonate or glass. The effect that can be created with this product is astounding, the conic structure of Hi-Lite plays with light and can create different illusions within the room.
